You might be asking how? As a trainer and coach here is what I see. The obvious answer is less reliance on physical dominance, men’s soccer often leans heavily on: All out speed, strength, explosiveness. Women’s soccer leans towards having a higher soccer IQ. The women’s game relies more on first touch and passing accuracy. It focuses on off-ball movement, working as a pack, and reading the game.
Tactically, the defensive shape is clearer and cleaner. This clarity allows the attack to start from the build-up at the back. The play then moves through the midfield and into the final third.
At Rosario’s Futbol, we believe team structure matters as much, if not more, than individual performance. For woman players, it’s essential to keep structure and formation at the forefront of the training.
